peddivaripalem Posted November 21, 2017 Report Posted November 21, 2017 Hi there - I am planning to go India for H1B visa stamping with my H1B but my USCIS case status is still indicating as " Under Processing " although i have original H1B copy in-hand. It's been almost 3 months since i received my approval. I have'nt gave it a thought about the case status but my lawyer was indicating me not to travel till we have the uscis case status fixed online. Kindly share your thoughts/recent experience ? Thanks for your help.
stampwithgrace Posted November 23, 2017 Report Posted November 23, 2017 I am sure embassy will have more than just looking up the uscis case status :). If I were you I would call USCIS and the attorney but still go ahead with the stamping. These are consulate officers we are talking about, they have access to all systems to look up minute details.
raju18a Posted November 23, 2017 Report Posted November 23, 2017 Just an fyi, Even my case was approved 4 months ago and online it still says "Case was Received" But Successfully stamped in last week. I think as long as you approved original I797, You should be good to go... This was my experience...

I think as long as you approved original I797, You should be good to go... This was my experience... Hi raju18a. Even my case was approved 2 months ago and still says "Case was Received". Apart from this, I have a question. I am also planning to go for stamping. Since you successfully got stamped last week, just wanted to know within how many days you got your passport stamped and where did you go (India or Canada or somewhere else)? I noticed recently that even after getting visa approved, the stamped passport getting delayed. Thanks and appreciate your response regarding this.
