Entering the US on L-2 visa 1 day before petition expiry

I was in the US on L-2 visa, based on my dad's L-1 blanket visa from 30th May 2015. My I-94 expired on 30th May 2017, however, I did not depart the US then, nor did I file an extension of status, as I did not realize that my authorized stay had ended. On 29th October, I left the US and returned to India due to family issues. Now, I am applying for a new L-2 visa in Chennai, since the previous visa was cancelled due to overstay. My interview is on November 30th. My dad's L-1 visa is valid till 20 January 2018, but his I-129 petition and his I-94 both expire on 14 December 2017. My dad is flying to the US on 5th December 2017, and his employer will file visa extension after he enters the country. I had two questions:

1. First, what are the chances of my visa getting approved?

2. Second, if the visa does get approved, will it be safe for me to travel? I am planning to travel on December 12th and enter US on December 13th, just one day before my dad's petition expires.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

As far as a blanket L1 is concerned, the person gets a visa and on entry the I94 is for 3 years subject to the total time constraints for L1. Hence are you making assumptions about the process or did the Office tell you this?
