H1 B primary travel alone for stamping in India

Hello All,

I have my H1 B extension for myself and my family. but due to some urgent situation , i am planning to travel alone to india, also i have planning to do my stamping when i visit India. 

Please suggest if I can travel alone to india for stamping and my family can stay here in USA. I will be going for two weeks

I think its possible, I hope you have approved H1B extension copy for your family as well. In that case when they visit India next time they can go for stamping.

Absolutely fine no problem at all , I believe when you got your H1 B approved you have got your dependents H4 approved as well ..with that I 94 should also be updated ..

Check with any attorney before you leave. One of my known guy who did like this. On his next extension for H4 he got RFE. Reason was if H1 leaves country H4 will be Out of Status. With out primary H1 in US H4 is illegal. What I am sharing is first hand Information. Please check with your company attorney before you leave

If you are saying your family has extended H4 status and your H1 extension is approved, there is no issue at all in a 2 week trip to India.
