Anirchaks71 Posted November 13, 2017 Report Posted November 13, 2017 Hi, I recently received my Green Card in August 2017 EB3 India Category after a long wait of almost 14 years( PD Dec 2005) . I had a an Old DUI arrest record in 2004 in California which was reduced to wet reckless charge and finally expunged . I had been traveling multiple times to India and other places with EAD/AP in the last few years and had to go to secondary everytime to get AP processed. I have not traveled this Year to India ( 2017) so far and intend to travel next couple of weeks. Just wanted to check if any one had any recent port of entry experience under the new Travel and Immigration policies with an old record. I am assuming USCIS had completely vetted my records for inadmisability ( or removal) before finally issuing the Green card but still wanted to see if any one had some recent travel / rentry experience with such cases at the Port of entry Shall appreciate any constructive update or feedback
pontevecchio Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 A 2004 DUI? will not or should not have any bearing on returning. I suspect any record with AP sends you to secondary.
pagladeewana Posted November 21, 2017 Report Posted November 21, 2017 You will be stopped till you don't become a citizen
Anirchaks71 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Report Posted December 12, 2017 Just Returned back today afternoon at SF PoE. Was asked to go to Secondary but everything went quite well. . Took less than 5 Minutes and nice experience. No Problems at all.
