Passport details update on ustraveldocs

Hello,

 

I am traveling to India this December. I'll have to go through the H-1b stamping process. My passport is expiring in May '18. My lawyer suggested me to renew the passport just in case. I've renewed it but since I already paid for the visa appointment, there's no way to update the passport details on the ustraveldocs information. Now, I have the new passport with me. Should I just get the stamping on the current passport only ? What are my options here if there's any.

Didn't Indian embassy stamp "Cancelled" on your old passport? They usually do that. They must have also mentioned "Old passport cancelled and returned" on the last page.

Yes it is cancelled and returned stamped. But my ustraveldocs profile says old passport number. However, I've updated it in DS-160. I tried to contact ustraveldocs helpline. They said they can't update it anymore since it's already paid for the appointment. Is there anything I can/should do here ?
