H1B approved for Amendment Receipt but Received RFE for First Receipt

Hi,
I am a F1 Student(OPT -Extension). My H1B was filed this year when I was working for client A and My project got ended in April and then I got a new project and started working for client B and Amendment has been done in June. I got my H1B approved for my Amendment Receipt
but received RFE for my initial H1B Receipt Number. What's my current situation? Do I need to answer for that RFE and If so, What's the situation if it got denied. Will I be on my OPT again or on H1?
