H1b approved with pending B2

Hi,

I was on J1 visa, I got the 2-year waiver and I applied for H1b in April. On May 31 my employer terminated my Job so I applied for B2 on the same day i.e May 31. On November 9th my H1b was approved but my B2 case is still pending.

a) Shall I withdraw my B2 application now as my H1b has been approved with new I94 valid for 1 year, does the withdrawal affect my future extension of H1b or green card because if I withdraw I don't know what will be my status for past 5 months since May 31 to November 9th.

b) What will happen if I do not withdraw B2 and it gets approved, will I lose my H1b
