ladkii Posted November 10, 2017 Report Share Posted November 10, 2017 My employer is based in IL. I have been with him for 7 years now. I received my GC last year. For an year prior to the GC, my employer almost stopped running my payrol and for a period of 14 months, he ran just 4 payrolls. He is not accessible by phone nor does he respond by emails or messages. If he did, he just buys time stating he will look into accounts or that vendor has not paid him. I have cross checked with the vendor on the payments made to my employer and made the account sheet myself, showing all my time sheet hours approved by client, paid by vendor and subsequently, my employer not running my payroll during that time. He has not been responding. I contacted my local state labor office but they said they will not be able to help me and suggested I go to court. Need help and info in this regard. TIA Link to comment
JoeF Posted November 11, 2017 Report Share Posted November 11, 2017 If you were on H1, and the violation is less than a year back, you can file a complaint with DOL on form WH4. If it is further back, your only option would be to go to court. Link to comment
