REHTA Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Hi Need urgent help ! I was laid off by employer A in 1st week of march 2017 with whom I had approved I797 and I94 valid till May 2019 . I joined another project on April 10 with employer B who filed my H1B transfer on April 5th 2017 in regular processing as premium processing was closed for 6 months . I got RFE with employer B in June and after submitting all the supporting documents my h1b transfer thru employer B got denied on sept 9th 2017. Meanwhile I also learnt that employer A has revoked my H1B on June 22 2017. Employer B asked me not to work for a week once after he receives the denial notice through mail. Meanwhile he filed a new H1B visa in that week and asked me to rejoin the work next week based on the new H1b receipt number. I validated this with my employer's attorney .He mentioned that since I have a valid I 94 till May 2019 and based on the new ruling in Jan 2017 (60 day grace period) I can continue working based on the new h1b receipt number. Need a second opinion in this regard as I started to work again based on the new receipt number. Thanks
