Going to H1B Visa Interview while a H1B transfer application is in Process

Hi,

I have been an employee of Company A from 6 years and I am going to India for vacation and need to get stamped once again as my old H1 VISA is expired. Couple of days back I received an offer from company B and they are going to submit a H1 transfer. Now my question is can I go to H1 VISA interview with the H1 receipt from my old employer A while a H1 transfer application is in process. I am going to a personal interview as I am not eligible for drop box. My plan was to come back from vacation and then move to the new company B once the transfer is approved. 

I wanted to know if there are any potential risks in travelling while a H1B transfer is in process.
