Question on I94 validity and extension. Does the latest I94 always take precedence over previous ones?

I was working for company A with Valid H1 visa till Apr-2018. On September 2015 when I came back from a vacation back to US, I was given a new I94 that was valid till November 2017. On April 2017 I switched employer to B and the new I797 for new employer is valid till Apr-2019 and the I94 attached with the new I797 approval notice is also valid till Apr-2019. And I currently work for this new employer B. 

Now will the I94 validity on my new I797 approval notice for employer B take precedence over the old I94 I received at port of entry? which means is my new I94 valid till April 2019? And also I renewed my passport last month. Does that make any difference at all to this I94 or Visa?
