H1B Stamping in Canada with Indian degree

Hi,

I hold an Indian Bachelors degree and planning to go for my visa extension in Ottawa. Has anyone got their visa stamping in Ottawa recently with Indian Degree,and how did it process and what is the processing time? I had been to Ottawa in 2009 and got H1 stamped without any issue at that time I was an consultant and now I am in to a full time employment. Recently have been seeing that most of them who have gone for stamping have had a Masters from US so was just wondering if I can get any help on this. This will be my 10th year on H1 this visa is based on I140.

As part of your H1 application, your attorney keeps a copy of educational evaluation. That is the evaluation of your Indian bachelors degree and that document would tell the consulate (and USCIS), what is the US equivalent of your degree. 

Even if you were stamping in India, the visa officers are looking at that document. The fact that you have a degree awarded by an Indian university is no red flag. It is a problem if they find out you have a fake degree certificate. 

Also, a friend of mine did her stamping in Canada last year and she has bachelors from India. My friend did not have any issues.
