nriq Posted October 27, 2017 Report Posted October 27, 2017 I am having my Citizenship interview next week. I could get the Tax Return transcripts from the local office for the last 4 years. For previous years, they said I have to mail Form 4506 to IRS paying $50 for every year prior to the last 4 years that may take time. Is it ok if I take only the tax transcripts for the recent 4 years from year 2013? I actually got my Green card in 2011 and will they ask for my transcripts from 2011 to 2016? I would appreciate reply from experienced forum members.
pontevecchio Posted October 27, 2017 Report Posted October 27, 2017 Were you required to bring Tax Records to the Interview as per the letter? In any case these transcripts are more than enough , if needed at all.
nriq Posted October 28, 2017 Author Report Posted October 28, 2017 Thanks for your reply. No. The letter does not ask me to bring tax records. I was just preparing to collect documents for the interview as per the general list of documents.
pontevecchio Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 The only documents needed are the ones they asked for in the letter. If you must carry other documents, keep them separately and do not offer to show any document not actually requested by the Officer.
leman Posted October 30, 2017 Report Posted October 30, 2017 Can anyone provide typical document asked in the interview process? It will be helpful for everyone who are waiting for their interview. I agree that providing more than what is asked for may result in unnecessary complications.
