H4 extension pending

Hi All,

Here is my situation - In March 2017, I have applied for H1B & H4 extension. My employer messed up some H4 extension documentation because of which USCIS sent back the H4 application requesting correction. We have corrected the i-539 and sent it back to USCIS and when package was in transit to USCIS, my H1B was approved on June 29th. Now USCIS treated H4 as a different application and created a new receipt number. Since then H4 application is pending, its been ~4 months and no response yet. Any suggestion are greatly appreciated.

My wife's licence is expired as it is dependent on her H4 visa validity & I also wanted to apply for H4 EAD before they take any decision in Dec/Jan.
