Anonymous19 Posted October 25, 2017 Report Posted October 25, 2017 This is my case i had h1b extension applied on Aug 1st 2016 and i was on bench for 2 months and meanwhile i decided to change the status and i went to india for H4 visa stamping and got stamped and came back to usa my employer initally forgot to cancel my h1b and in April when i had checked my visa i told him that my case was moved to differnt location locationand asked him to cancel since it was not apporved he sent case update to uscis and applied for cancelation of my h1b visa since i have my h4 visa but as soon as we applied within 2 or 3 days my employer called and said i have my h1b apporved but since in the meanwhile i had applied for cancelation he said i would be out of status if it gets cancelled so he told me to put COS from H1B to H4 visa i applied and it got approved for next 3 years now i am planning to go to India so when i am booking my date for visa stamping i faced the below question Do you have a previous H4 visa (spouse/child of a temporary occupation, temporary worker or trainee applicant)? what should i answer if i say yes and answer other questions it is showing drop box eligible i am confused since i had my h1b approved and cos from h1b to h4 do i need to answer yes or no to above question Please help me this is really urgent as i had booked my flight and i need to know the question for the above so that i can book the appointment Cheers!!

Answer is Yes, they are asking about a visa stamp for H4 and you have it stamped on your passport.
