pankaj24 Posted October 25, 2017 Report Posted October 25, 2017 Hello All, My H1B extension was pending with Nebraska. Filed for premium. After 4 days status changed to premium processing. Next day status changed to petition approved and will mail notice shortly. Next day, weird thing happened, status changed again saying that extension petition received and mailed you a receipt notice. Doesn't make any sense, since my petition was already received, approved then why would status change to case received again? Hopefully it is a glitch. Thank you.

NotAnAttorney Posted October 26, 2017 Report Posted October 26, 2017 As this was approved under premium processing, either your employer or attorney should have already received email with decision and details of approval. You can consider that for peace of mind and wait for the hard copies of approval notice. Once you have them, need not really worry about the online status. If any status change is REAL, they would also send notices to employer/attorney, in that way you will get to know if the status change was legitimate.

Seems employer's lawyer contacted USCIS for this.
