Julien_Frisch Posted October 23, 2017 Report Posted October 23, 2017 Hello, My apologies if the below question was asked recently, but I could not find a straight answer. I am currently working in the US with an L1-B visa. I am considering : leaving my company and giving up my VISA travel outside of the US for a couple of weeks come back to the US with an ESTA to gather my belongings and definitely move out. Is there any risk I would not be allowed back to the US if I am applying for an ESTA just a few weeks after resigning? Thanks! Julien
JoeF Posted October 24, 2017 Report Posted October 24, 2017 Entering on a non-immigrant visa waiver (using ESTA) is never guaranteed. There always is some risk. It would be best if you can show ties to your home country, like a job there. Assuming that you are from Europe, based on your handle, I think the risk would be pretty low.
Julien_Frisch Posted October 26, 2017 Author Report Posted October 26, 2017 Thanks Joe, that's very helpful
