Can I apply for H4-EAD along with H4 extension

Hi All,

My family has been with me as dependents and never had their own H4 documents (i.e I-797s). They always traveled with me so they never needed a separate H4 document. They now need to apply for H4 extension separately - as I didn't apply for their H4 extension when I was extending my H1.

I had to apply for H1 extension to facilitate extension of my Indian passport, otherwise, I really didn't have to apply for my own extension then. So, I chose not to apply for H4 extensions in order to save some money then. I now see that it was foolish of me not to apply for extension together. My wife has her H4-EAD (basing upon my I-140)  and now it is going to expire soon. Hence the need to apply for H4 extension.

Having given the background, my question is - can I apply for H4 extension and H4 EAD extension together? Or should I be waiting for H4 extension approval before applying for H4-EAD extension?
