MakeAmericaGreatAgain_2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Hello, I heard, almost all H1B VISA stamping cases via Drop Box go by default to Administrative Processing for a Day or two before getting approved or rejected. Is that true? One of my colleague had same experience in B'lore where the case status changed to Administrative Processing for 2 days before getting approved the whole process took 5 biz days. MAGA
nmurthy Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 It all depends on the Visa Officer. I have seen both cases. A friend of my dropped hers in the dropbox and that application was in Admin Processing for couple of days before a visa was issued. On the other hand, my wife dropped hers in september this year and her status said Received on the day consulate received the application and then next day changed to Issued. No admin processing.
ash7 Posted October 24, 2017 Report Posted October 24, 2017 Hi Everyone, Request your kind inputs/suggestions on my case below. I am currently unable to decide what needs to be done. - I initiated my dropbox at Bangalore VFS on 6th Oct,2017 - Received notification Passport ready to pickup today 24-Oct - Received 221(g) document for both of our passports me and my wife -doc is not blue colour, Is it some thing else ? 1. There are 2 checkboxes marked - one for the 'Please appear for an interview with a consular officer........" and the 'Other' checkbox with 'Fingerprint only' handwritten on it. Am i required to go through Fingerprint and Visa Interview both or Fingerprint only ? 2. I also received a 214b document in the package - with neither of the check boxes marked. Can you kindly suggest what that one means. Any response/Suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks Guys !
