jobyjohny Posted October 13, 2017 Report Posted October 13, 2017 My H1 extension was denied by USCIS on 10/11.My Green card application( Adjust of Status, EAD ) started on 0/727 and in progress Do I have a valid status in US or I am out of status from 10/11 onwards. My EAD application is on 78th day today applied on 07/27 . Can I work for my employer now ? Please find the application filed dates for your reference H1 Ext 02/14 - Petition received 06/03 – RFE 09/13 – RFE response received 10/11 - Extension denied EAD 07/27 - Case was received Today - Status: Fees were waived AOS 07/26 – Case was received 08/29 - finger printing completed Today - Status: Finger print fee was received

JoeF Posted October 14, 2017 Report Posted October 14, 2017 If the EAD isn't approved yet, you can't work. You have to wait for the approval. The pending I-485 keeps you legal.
