Extension was applied on 30th Jun 2017, but we didn't follwup with attorny and he did never followed up with USCIS about the receipt number or confirmation of receipt. Today we have called USCIS to find the status(or Receipt number) but they said they have not received application for my spouse, not sure how it is missed... i felt is a total mess from attorney of not following on this for long time. Given she is out of status and not sure what can we do now to file and extension, i need quick assistance from attorney or forum in this situation? does my wife need to leave the country or ??
