Hanskand6 Posted October 13, 2017 Report Posted October 13, 2017 Hi all, I am yet to attend my interveiw for F1 visa in India in the month of December. I have a H4 visa and staying in US since July 2015. I recently decided to pursue my second masters and got admission into GSU and started the course this fall. I have received a graduate assistantship from next semester for which to avail a F1 visa is required. Please let me know the chances of getting visa stamped. Also any guidelines. Also let me know if I can apply for H4 visa immediately as my visa is expired and got I797 approved (extension till 2019) and eligible for dropbox this year. TIA
upd23 Posted December 12, 2017 Report Posted December 12, 2017 Hi, If you obtain F1 visa on you passport, you can use the same to enter U.S. Btw, have you already appeared for the interview. It will be very helpful if you could share your experience. I am in similar situation ie. H4->F1 COS and this is my second Master's. I am planning to visit my home country hence, will have to get F1 visa stamped. TIA !
