Hi Team,

I wanted to know about h1b to F1 transfer process.
I was working for company A and my visa expiry date was Oct 1, 2017 and my company A had already applied for extension in April 2017. recently on Sep 25th i got Wage 1 RFE.
If I want to transfer my H1b to F1 status. What is the procedure to follow? Please suggest if it is legal to transfer my H1b to F1 and will i go out of status as my initial H1B petition RFE submission is pending till Dec 18, 2017?

You would have to apply to study at a university. It takes several months to get admission to a university. Universities have application deadlines.

It is simply completely unrealistic to change to an F1 when an H1 is denied.
