Am I Qualified for the Master's Quota? (U.S. Degree)

Hi-

I am an international student pursuing an Integrated Masters of Accounting (5 year BS/MS) program at a BIG 10 state university. I have accepted my full-time offer from a BIG 4 accounting firm and I have not been reached by the immigration lawyer. And here is my current status:

- Spring 2018 will be by last semester in school

- I will get both of my UG/G diplomas next semester

- I will be taking two general education classes in Spring that are required for graduation. Those classes give out official letter grade by the end of February as those classes are skiing and snowboarding classes that are done in the middle of the semester

- I have confirmed with school that the school will be able to give the letter of confirmation that I have fulfilled all the requirements to graduate when I receive my letter grades for the two classes mentioned above in February 2018. But the official transcript will not show the two classes until the end of the semester. Yet, I will be able to see them on my unofficial transcript.

-  I am planning on applying for OPT in Spring but I heard my firm does apply for H1B prior to OPT if the candidate is eligible.

Will I be qualified for the Master's Quota for this coming April 2018?

 Thanks for you time.

Thanks @JoeF for your insight! So technically my firm can petition me twice for Master's quota, once in my spring semester and once during my OPT period?

Yup. You got two shots at an H1. Good luck.
