Visa extension stamping in India

I am travelling to India and I have to go for visa extension stamping, I have changed my employer and new employer is a consulting firm and with this consulting firm my visa is valid till 2019.

Some of my friend and even the consulting firm is suggesting me to get the visa stamping from Mexico (Matamorous) rather than going to India because in India the probability of getting approval is 50-50.

Could anyone please suggest me what to do and how risky is it to go to India for Visa stamping. Previously I did my visa extension stamping from India but it was from previous employer and I never had any issue
