F1_TO_H1B STAMPING IN CANADA IN JAN 2018

Hello All,

                 I am planning for  H1B stamping, this is first H1b Stamping in Canada after F1 Stamping from India.

Here is my case 

 

1)Came to US on University of Spring Field in Jan 2014 and later converted to NPU in Jan 2014 and recently got H1 approval from 2017 to 2020, 

2) Planning to go to Canada - (Vancouver or Calgary ) for H1b stamping.  

3) LCA Wage level is 1

4) I am working at client place on EVC -Model

I was under the Impression  that Canada & mexico -  they are not allowing stamping for the change of status (F1 -> H1B Stamping)  ?

I am thinking it's Only for Extension Stamping ?

Advanced members, please throw some light on this.

Anyone who been to 1st stamping to Canada or Mexico recently, please respond, so we know whats the status

The US Consulates in Mexico don't allow stamping for 3rd country nationals if it is a COS. Consulates in Canada allow it.
