H1B Transfer to new Employer when extesion & amendment is pending

Hello Everyone,

I have a situation wherein my current employer has applied for extension and amendment in Sep 2017 prior to visa expiry,  I have received the receipt number for the same.  My current visa/i94 is expired in Sep 2017and now  my current employer client says there is a change in requirement so i have to look for another client eventually i have to file an amendment.  So my question is at this stage can i do a H1B transfer to new employer with existing extension and amendment pending from current employer also has anyone went through this scenario ?
