5hashank Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Hello, I am an Indian Citizen currently working for a not-for-profit research organization on a H1B visa since last one year. My H1B application was cap-exempt. I want to switch my job to a for-profit company. Please explain the process. Also, if my current non-profit employer files for a green card, will it be possible to change the employer to a for-profit company once the application is approved? Note: I was a F1 student prior to H1B. This is my first employment-based visa. Never been subject to H1B cap. Thanks
pontevecchio Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 You will need to get a sponsor to file a cap subject H1 next April.
