yashup
Hi I am currently on my STEM OPT. I have H1-B approved with company A, currently i am working with Company B. Company A acquired Company B. Due to lay offs, Company A may not provide offer letter on H1. 1-a) Can I transfer H1 before October 2017? 1-b) If so can I start working on just the receipt number? 1-c) how many days can I stay in USA without job? 1-d) If the H1 transfer decision is late , can I work on STEM OPT or do I need to ask university for new stem-gap? 2) What is the scenario when I want to transfer in October or later? 3) In any case can I just stay in US or do I need to go out of country for stamping? H1 transfer cannot be done unless you work for your initial H1 sponsoring employer. But since there is an acquisition, I think you need attorney for help. Link to comment
yashup
Can I stay in US even I wouldn't start working with the company who gave offer letter? Is there any chance that I can transfer my H1? Link to comment
