Do I need to go for extension if my I-797 Expires before L1-B Visa Expiry?

Hello Team,

My I-797 Expiry is in DEC2018 but my L1-Blanket Visa expiry is in NOV2019. Should my company apply for extension offline before DEC2018?

Or do I need to visit the Consulate for the Extension? Please advice.
