I completed my masters from ACICS accredited university in march 2016  and applied  H1B through masters quota this year and i received the denial letter stating that university has not accredited when i filled my application and  i received a denial still i am confused i completed my masters in march 10  2016

i don understand why it gets denied but when i forward the letter to my university they stated that usics have not an updated information about the Accreditation  status of the university and in the denial letter they mentioned that they denied the case based on fact by department of education .So can i appeal the decision

USCIS has denied a lot of cases where the degree was from an ACICS-accredited institution. As far as I know, no appeal has overturned that so far.

My guess is that their reasoning is that most of these institutions are shady and should never have gotten accreditation to begin with. There are reports that some of these institutions, e.g., NPU, inflated grades. I assume that ICE has ongoing investigations.

You should have enrolled in a real university, like a public university.
