Sponsoring in laws when H1 extension is pending and I94 expired

My extn is filled in normal processing and my I94 is expired now. Can I sponser my inlaws with H1 receipt notice or is it better for them to do a self sponser.

Does my H1B approval notice- I797 is required for sponsoring them

There is no sponsoring for visitor visas. You can pay for their trip, but that's not sponsorship. Your pending H1 doesn't matter.

     I am exactly facing the issue and my inlaws went to stamping on Nov2nd in India and they were told that they have got the Visa after asking questions for 5 mins.

After coming out from consulate we have checked the status  online and noticed Administrative Processing.Could you share some details if you know any.Also i have not received any email from Consulate asking for any documents.
