B2 visa/H1b sponsor

Please advise on if a person with visitor visa (B2) visit friends in US with out the sponsor of the visa  in US ,who is on h1b and leaving USA for short term?

or

Does the sponsor needs to be in US when they (person with who got B2 visa) arrive US?

There is no sponsoring for B2.

Once you have a B2 visa, you can use it to visit the US.
