Sam3895
Has anyone received a 221g in Vancouver recently and still waiting for the passport or admin processing to complete and residing in Vancouver? Link to comment
GSKR1987
I had VISA interview on August 1st at Vancouver, got 221G, visa issued and received passport on Sept 11th. Total 42 days. Link to comment
Sam3895
Glad that you finally received your passport. Were you in Vancouver all these 42 days? Strange that it took them so long, I have seen cases where they hold and process in a week or 2. Admin processing are comparatively quick in Vancouver. In your case was it just validating your field of study vs current job? Link to comment
GSKR1987
I don't know the reason for my 221G. I have PhD from US and I am dire-hire with full time job in my field of study. My guess it was related to my PhD research topic. Currently I am working for the same company in Canada. So, accommodation was not an issue for me but still waiting was bad. Link to comment
