Somraj_2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 I have been working in USA past few years on H1B. I had to travel to India on family emergency when my H1B extension process was ongoing. I am still in India. Meanwhile my H1B was approved, but my employer said that the project position is no more available for me. It looks like they will soon revoke my H1B as they do not have any other suitable position. My questions: 1) I have all my belongings in the USA. I must travel to USA to wrap up everything properly, like closing the rental agreement, selling my new car, and collecting my valuables etc. Can I travel with tourist visa or visitor visa? 2) Is it possible to search for new jobs while living there for a few months on tourist visa, so that once I get a new job I can go out of USA and come back with my visa stamped? (provided that new employer is ready to sponsor my H1B and premium processing is available)
JoeF Posted September 9, 2017 Report Posted September 9, 2017 You would have to get a visitor visa, B2, to come and sell your stuff. You can also search for a new job, but you can only start that new job after approval, which, without PP, can take a while.
