tracsandeepg Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 I have an approved I140 from Company A and have joined Company B ever since and completed 5 years w/company B as of today. Company B hasn't yet filed my GC yet. With the dates moving - my PD could be current in the next 3-4 months. Can I have an external attorney who could help file my i485 and EAD/AP when the dates are current.
pontevecchio Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 Yes, You can involve a lawyer in the process.

Once their I-140 is filed, if the PD is current, you can file an I-485. You can reuse the PD from the old I-140, you can file an I-485 based on the old I-140, unless company A has a job opening for you and takes you back.
