H1b stamp expiration on passport beyond 6 years?

I started working on H1B on Oct 2011. I am completing 6 years on H1B on Dec 5th 2017.

But last time i went for stamping( which is Nov 8th 2015) i got a H1B stamp on my passport with an expiration date of Nov 8th 2020 !. What does this signify? Are there any advantages because of this?

Nothing needs to be read in to the dates of the visa. You still need a H1 petition approval to enter.
