divyashreeup
Hi, I am a H1b holder working and living in California. Validity of my H1 expires on 22nd September, so does my California driver's license. My employer has applied for extension, but no way I will hear back before 22nd September. I looked up online that CA residents can apply for a new DL through AB 60. What are the documents I will need to produce for this? How easy/difficult is to get my DL extended through this? Also, should I give a driving test through AB60 even if I have a California Driver's license? Anybody who has gone through this process, please help Link to comment
ssekar76
Just now I was talking to my friend... he mentioned that it is easy to get by providing ID Proof (Passport), your current/expired license, address proof and copy of h1 extension receipt... DMV will say that you need to bring h1 approval... but you can tell them that I want to apply for AB60 since h1 approval takes time... Check this url for more info... https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/ab60 Link to comment
