H1-B and EAD

Hello,

I-485 pending for more than 5 years, have EAD/AP, but have never used it previously. My H1-B is valid until 09/13/2017. EAD is valid until Feb 2018. H1-B extension is pending since two months.

Questions:
1) I opted to use EAD recently to get my I-9 updated as my H1-B decision may not come before 09/13/2017. Is my status now, "I-485 pending"?
2) If my H1-B is approved and my employer updates my I-9 with H1-B, will my status be back to H1-B?
3) If my I-485 gets denied for reasons other than I-140 revocation or status violations between now and the time of decision on H1-B, I will be in H1-B pending status until a decision is made on the H1-B and can work for 240 days beyond 09/13/2017. Correct?

Thank you

you mentioned h1b extension pending for the past 2 months. So you still have 240 days - 2 months = 180 days i.e at least 6 more months on h1b.

If for some reason you still do not get h1b extension until 4-5th month then convert the extension to premium to get results in 2 weeks.
