DROP BOX eligibility question

Hi ,

thanks in advance for the help.

I am on my 7 year of H1 B. i got stamped in india in aug 2014. My Stamping expired feb 2017. 

My new H1B is till 2019. I want to go to india for stamping and i see drop box is still available. us travel docs site said i am eligible.

My question is my XXX company merged with ABC company in 2016. My new H1B is in new company ABC name. Does this effect my Dropbox eligibility?

I am still in less than year period of my previous stamping (feb 2017). 

also, is it safe to do drop box now?

Company change is not a filter anymore. Your case you are eligible for drop box.

what are the documents to taken for drop box. I see the list they asked. Just curious if any additional documents are required.

As per the list 

H and L aplicants (□ -H1, □ -H4, □ -L1 Individual,□ -L2 Individual,□ -L2 Blanket)

for above mine expired in feb 2017 . so its not 12 months yet. So i dont need to take previous H1B copy right?

yes, i will take current copy

previous expired in feb 2017 and new one is from FEB 2017 T0 2019. So i dont need my previous h1 copy?

Hi,

I got my H1B visa approved through drop box.

In hyderbad 

Nov 6th : Dropped documents

my company A was merged with Company B. they asked me for some documents. I gave the company merger document.

Nov 9th : Visa issued.

Nov 10th: ready for pick up. 

picked up on sunday.

Please carry all documents while doing drop box just in case if you need them,

Port of entry was smooth as well.
