I797B approved stamping expiring

Hi,

My current H1B Visa stamping and I-94 is valid till Nov 2017. Same is for my wife's H4 visa. There is already a pending I-539 for an H4 extension.

I have received an approved I797B (extension using I-140) till Mar 2019 without I-94 extension. Should I refile my H1B and H4 extension? Or can we both travel to Mumbai and get stamping done and extend I-94 while entering the US? Which is the safe option?

Also, if going for stamping:
1. Do I need to get stamping done before my existing visa is getting expired?
2. I-539 (H4 extension) is already filed for my spouse. Is she also eligible for visa stamping without I-539 approval? If she travels, pending I-539 will get canceled.
3. Although it’s quick and easy, is it safe and recommended way to go out of the country with I-797B?

Appreciate your quick response.

Thanks! Just curious will this scenario change my dropbox stamping eligibility? My wife will be doing dropbox stamping for first time.
