I-140 Approved; Is new PERM required with new employer?

Hi,

My priority date is July 2014 and my EB-2 I-140 is approved with previous employer. I changed my Job in Nov 2016 and now my employer is initiating my GC process again. I found a note on government website https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2016-11-18/html/2016-27540.htm.  Based on this, it looks like there is a way to just port of current I-140 without reinitiating the whole process starting from PERM again?

Do I need to go through PERM process again or Is there any way to just port my current I-140 approval to new employer?

Your current Priority Date can be used for a subsequent filing. But it still starts from PERM onwards.
