rustybucket
I had a visa interview this morning in Canada and the VO gave a 221(g) yellow slip and said the processing might take 1-2 months, sometimes shorter or longer. I have my masters in NOn IT field and i am working in IT now. The Visa officer just took a copy of my resume and xerox copy of my 797. I am planning to leave to India as the process might take a little long. Once its approved, Do i have to come back to canada or can i take my passport to any consulate in India? Also Can i change the delivery address of my passport from Post Ofice to my relatives house in Canada, so they can courier it to me to India? Link to comment

You have to come back to Canada once your 221G is cleared. Link to comment
sumas
I am sorry to hear of your situation. The next obvious question is... How does one travel between countries without a passport ? Link to comment

So avoid your plans to go to India and stay in Canada. Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
I would suggest you stay in Canada till 5 to 6 weeks. By then your case will be resolved. I guess here they are checking how come a NON-IT graduate is working in IT job. Those things they are scrutinizing alot now. Link to comment
