I got my H4 effective from 8-17-2016
H4 EAD effective from 1-1-2017 valid till 1-1-2019 (Spouse is still working on H1B)
Switched to H1 from 10-3-2016. (Cleared CAP earlier and was on H1 for almost 2 years)

Do I need to file new EAD if I plan to switch to H4 again or the old EAD holds valid?
