Canada Travel with nearing i94 expiration Date

Hi,

I have I797 Expiry Date of Jun 12-2019 but my I-94 Expiry date is Oct-7-2017(because of my Passport expiry Date). I have renewed my Indian passport in USA. Now, i am planning to have visit to Canada somewhere in Aug 2017.

My Questions are,

a) Do we need to schedule an appointment for VISA stamping ? I guess no, but not sure.

b) When i re-enter USA, do i get new I-94 base on my I797 ? 

P.S, My Employer is not responding well in filing i-94 extension.

1. When does your H1 visa expire?

2. Assuming you have a visa for Canada you can visit and on return You have to ASK for a new I94 and tell the Officer that You are NOT Using AVR and need a new I94 based on your H1 petition ending in 2019.

1. You don't need to go for interview until the expiry date on the visa. To be on safe hands 1 week before expiry

2. You can check your latest i-94 based on passport online, the expiry date will not change. To change the expiry date (update) you will have to go for interview which can be skipped for now.
