Shells0810 Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 I am on F1 Visa and working for Employer A. They filled H1 this year and got selected in lottery. It is not approved yet. Currently I am on leave with the expected returning date of August 1st but I wont be able to join them as I have shifted to another state and want to resign. Can any employer initiate my H1 B transfer with the receipt number I have ? Is it possible to do H1 transfer for the 1 st time also before it is approved? What will happen if Employer A revokes it?Will I loose F1 also?
JoeF Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 No, that is not possible. You have to start working for the original H1 employer on Oct. 1, or the H1 is gone.
Shells0810 Posted June 30, 2017 Author Report Posted June 30, 2017 Oh Okay. And when somebody file next year will it be cap-exempt by any chance?
