As of today morning, this is the update Shows : Administrative Processing. Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad. Can someone tell me is this common message for someone who submits application through DropBox & Later it gets changed to "Visa Issued" ?

JM RAVULA Posted July 6, 2017 Report Posted July 6, 2017 @Shekar, My wife went to Drop box 30th June, I got email today saying that she needs to go for fingerprints tomorrow i.e 7th July. Any update on your case, did they ask anything after that.. please update. any advice before fingerprints.

I submitted my dropbox application on July 17th in Bangalore and it has reached Consulate in Hyderabad on July 18th. On July 19th I got an email asking me to come for finger prints on July 24th. Would greatly appreciate to know the status of previous applicants who were in the same bucket. Thanks

Thanks After my spouse went for just fingerprints, she got her passport stamped to hand in less than a week. Don't worry, you should be good.
db_hyd Posted July 28, 2017 Report Posted July 28, 2017 I got my visa after giving finger prints. Here is the status of my application over time, incase some one is in similar situation. I was tracking the status of my application in two websites. US Travel Docs (http://ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-passporttrack.asp) and CEAC (https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx). Below I list the status from both the websites on each dates I noticed. July 17th - Dropped passport at dropbox location in Bangalore US Travel Docs - Passport is being delivered to Post. July 18th - The passport reached Consulate in Hyderabad, and the case was created. US Travel Docs - Passport is still with US Consulate. CEAC - Case created, Administrative Processing. July 19th - Got an email asking me to come for finger prints on July 24th US Travel Docs - Passport is still with US Consulate. CEAC - Administrative Processing. July 24th - Gave finger prints at Consulate in Hyderabad US Travel Docs -Passport is still with US Consulate. CEAC - Administrative Processing July 26th - US Travel Docs - Passport received from US Consulate. It is being prepared for delivery. CEAC - Issued July 27th - US Travel Docs - Passport is ready for pick up. CEAC - Issued Picked up passport on July 27th.

Monday, 12/11/2017 : Submitted documents at VFS, New Delhi (India) Tuesday, 12/12/2017 : Status changed to 'Passport being sent to Consulate'. Wednesday, 12/13/2017 : Status changed to 'Admin Processing' (CEAC website) / 'Passport is still with the US consulate' (US Travel Docs and CGI Federal) Thursday, 12/14/2017 : Same status, 'Admin Processing' (CEAC website) / 'Passport is still with the US consulate' (US Travel Docs and CGI Federal) Does anyone with previous experience would know how long does it take to get approved in drop box process now a days (December, 2017)? I'm hoping and praying to see it to "Approved" with stamped passport ASAP. Regards, RR
