1.5 years left on H1, Is it too late to initiate green card processing

My H1 will max out in 1 year and 6 months, Is it enough to initiate labor/green card processing 
Or Am I too late for this? How much will overall formalities before for Labor/perm takes and submitting labor take nowadays?

Try finding an employer who already has a paperadd and other formalities finished with respect to prevailing wage.

You can file the Perm right away then
