NIVholder Posted June 27, 2017 Report Posted June 27, 2017 Hi everyone, I have accepted a job offer with company B. I am still working for company A. I have an international vacation planned next week (8 days), and I will be coming back and working for company A. Company B would initiate my H1B transfer in the mean time. The question is, should they wait for me to come back from my week long vacation or should they send the documents anyway, so that we get a receipt number in the next few weeks. As premium processing is suspended, I will be giving my two weeks notice after getting the receipt number. It looks like I will be with company A for at least 5-6 more weeks. Should I ask company B to wait till I get back? Or should I ask them to initiate the transfer anyway? My current company has also applied for my extension (in May) and it is currently under process as well. So the question is, can I come back from my vacation with a stamped H1B from company A (and the receipt number for extension) while company B sends my documents for a transfer?
