H1-B dropbox criteria

I am presently on h1-b visa. I had it stamped in feb 2016 and it's valid till august 2018.
However when I was on vacation in a country outside US, my passport was slightly damaged and had to fly down to India to get a new passport. On the visa page, there is a small watermark and I want to get a new visa on my new passport.
The new passport I received in India had a small error on it , however I got a new one with corrected details. At present I have one slightly damaged passport with visa on it(passport cancelled but visa is valid), one cancelled passport which had a small error on it and new passport.
Can you please let me know what would be the procedure? Can I use Dropbox for this or am I required to go to interview in person? It is slightly confusing as the interview waiver questionnaire asks if I its the same class of visa,etc and it is.
Additionally, if it i need to attend an interview, in case there are no appointments available soon, can I request for emergency appointment as it is re stamping and I had to come to India on emergency basis for new passport? My old passport still has a clearly readable visa with a small watermark on it.

Please let me know at the earliest as I need to get restamping done and travel back to US soon.
